Who We Are

We're The Leftovers—food writers with a combined 30+ years covering Miami's dining scene. We're the ones who've stayed at the table and been reputable storytellers through countless openings, closings, and trends.

Why We're Here

Miami's food media landscape is shrinking. Publications are closing shop, going regional, or cutting local coverage altogether. What's left often lacks substance or depth.

We started The Leftovers because we believe Miami's unique and dynamic food scene deserves dedicated, honest coverage from writers who know the city. When other outlets packed up, we launched and doubled down on telling you where to eat and why. Plus, with three editors who humorously have vastly different opinions when it comes to the culinary landscape, dishes, flavors, salt - and even MSG, you can get a wide range of flavors. Just check the bylines to see who wrote what to better understand.

What We Publish

We keep it simple: the spots worth your time, served up the way we'd tell a friend.

Super 7s are our quick, concise roundups of the best of the best throughout Miami. Seven favorite restaurants, bars, cuisines, whatever we're obsessing over.

Restaurant profiles come in two flavors: New & Noteworthy for spots just opening and Best of the Best for places that have earned their status. We tell you what to order, who it's perfect for, and yes, even the parking situation. All the stuff we'd want to know as diners.

A Quickie With... features our interviews with Miami's best restaurant personalities. We share hot takes on controversial stuff in Miami's restaurant world that needs to be said. Each week, we do Best Thing I Ate This Week where we each share our favorite dish from the past few days.

And better yet, three times a week, we send out newsletters with Miami restaurant news. The kind of quick updates that keep you in the know without the fluff.

Who This Is For

This is for people who want straightforward food recommendations. Whether you're a longtime local or just visiting, we're cutting through the noise to tell you where to eat next, we’re introducing you to the wizards behind the curtains and so much more.
