This tiny Downtown Grocer Stocks The Best Prepared Foods From Around the World
Your search for BjornQuorn is over

Let me open this up by sharing that I love grocery shopping. Not only in Miami, but any city I visit. Perhaps my obsession is a result of being born and raised in Miami. There was always a culture of grocers that were family owned and operated - and that was how we shopped. Locals, do you remember Bay Harbour Fine Foods, Lorenzos, and Epicure? Well, I do and lord knows that we miss those on the regular. But as the years passed, the small guys perished courtesy of - you know, the ‘Whole Foods’ of the world.
However, the small guy is back. And thank god for that because who doesn’t appreciate a haven that’s chic vibes, fresh produce, and cool with truly incredible prepared foods, too!
Right down the street from Maple & Ash there is a tiny alley where you discover a grocer called Flow. Founded by Chef Priyanka Naik, this television personality with a substantial following has one for a worthy reason: She’s actually good at her craft, beautiful and beyond personable. Plus, I’m obsessed with all things India so, hello!
The space: With around five aisles, and a chilled section for prepared foods that are made in-house, it’s tiny but mighty.
What to eat and drink: When I paid a visit, I left with her sandwich-style pickles that were so OMFG good that I gave them to my cousin before I flew overseas because I didn’t want them to go to waste. And the green soup was splendid and filled my gut and my soul. It was totally worth $20. And, lastly, the Coconut & Mango Lassi - an Indian yogurt that can be served salty or sweet - was so outstanding that I had two! They also have EVOO with Zataar, and BjornQorn, my favorite popcorn which I discovered at Erewhon in Beverly Hills! Lastly, they also have honey from Paradise Farms and the best Mango snack I found in Mexico City - Senor Mango!
Perfect for: A quick, easy, friendly, healthy and somehow fancy grocery shopping experience where you’re guaranteed to walk away happy.
Expect to pay: You can spend 3 dollars on pop-corn to $50 on a few staples for your fridge and pantry. It’s not offensively priced but it’s not bogo at Publix.
Pro tip: Be like Matt and take the metro mover
How’s the parking: Like many relationships, ‘it’s complicated.’ So, see “Pro Tip” above.
