The Leftovers Awards Are Coming!
Your picks, our takes. Miami’s best of the year, decided together.
Miami’s had a year, between openings that impressed, closings that hurt, and plenty of meals somewhere in between. We’ve eaten through all of it. Now it’s your turn to weigh in.
Introducing The Leftovers Awards 2025!
Seven categories, taking a look at the restaurants and bars that actually shaped the city this year.
Here’s what’s on the ballot:
Restaurant of the Year
Most Instagrammable Restaurant
Chef of the Year
Best Neighborhood Restaurant
Saddest Restaurant Closure
Bar of the Year
Best Hidden Gems
We’ll roll out two categories a week (except for the final week!) starting November 10, each with five nominees to choose from. Voting will be open only to The Leftovers Miami subscribers. Reader votes will count for 70 percent of the final results, and The Leftovers editors will decide the remaining 30 percent. Winners will be announced the week of December 8.
Got a favorite spot in mind? Drop your nominations in the comments below. We’ll pick the top five in each category based on your suggestions (and our editor’s picks) before official voting opens next week.
