Super 7: Where to Brunch for Mother's Day in Miami
And each one is under $100, so you can spoil mom without breaking the bank
AVA MediterrAegean
AVA MediterrAegean, a swanky Mediterranean outpost in Coconut Grove is hosting its first Mother’s Day since opening, and it is going big with a sophisticated multi-course spread. For $75 per person, from 11:30 AM to 3 PM, diners can kick off their brunch with appetizers like hummus or crispy zucchini. Mains include a golden chicken tajine, truffle cream spaghetti, charred salmon, and a Black Angus tenderloin if Mom is feeling extra hungry, while desserts like gelato or French toast round out the meal. Beverage packages range from $35 all-you-can-drink mimosas to Dom Pérignon packages at $225, for those really wanting to ball out. There is even an on-site flower cart with bouquets available for purchase — in case you forgot to grab one ahead of time. No judgment here. @avamediterrAegean// 2900 McFarlane Rd, Miami, FL 33133
AVIV
I’ve always been a fan of Michael Solomonov’s cooking, and AVIV is no exception. They offer an excellent dinner special for large parties, and this year, they’re adding a fantastic Mother’s Day brunch to the mix. The $90 buffet covers Mediterranean-Israeli ground like smoked fish, cheese and charcuterie, chicken shawarma, pomegranate-glazed salmon, a brisket carving station, an omelet station, a taboon station, and even a pickle fountain. Not entirely sure what that is, but I am sure pictures will appear on my IG feed by weekend’s end. @aviv.southbeach // 2341 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139
CLAUDIE
Claudie is doing something it has never done before: brunch. (I was a bit surprised, too! I feel like this is such a great brunch spot, but I digress). The French Riviera-inspired restaurant on Brickell Avenue opens for brunch for one day only on Mother’s Day, from 11:30 AM to 3 PM. For $75, dine on a three-course meal including beef tartare or branzino carpaccio to start, Provençal roasted chicken or ricotta ravioli with spring asparagus for the main, and lavender crème brûlée or a Tropézienne tart to finish. Come dinner service, a flower cart outside sells bouquets. @claudierestaurant // 1101 Brickell Ave, Miami, FL 33131
DC Pie Co.
For the mom who doesn’t like the fuss or the brunch crowds – or for the fun moms that want more of a party vibe than a proper Mother’s Day brunch – well, DC Pie Co. is the place for you. No prix fixe, no buffet stations, no flower arrangements, just bottomless Aperol Spritzes for $25 all day (two-hour limit) at the Brooklyn-inspired pizzeria in Brickell. Mom orders off the regular menu with options like meatballs, wood-fired eggplant parm, and the DC Dubai Pie with pistachio tahini and crispy kataifi. Spritzes pour from 11 AM to 11 PM. @dcpieco // 1010 Brickell Ave #200, Miami, FL 33131
La Fernetería
The Wynwood rooftop has the perfect setup for Mother’s Day – think skyline views and live music all day. The Mother’s Day prix fixe is $70 per person and, officially, the best price on this list. Starters at La Ferneteria include arancini, tuna tartare, carpaccio, or burrata, while mains feature gnocchi with braised short rib ragù, a ten-layer lasagna, grilled salmon, or an eight-hour braised ternerita. Dessert runs from panna cotta to dulce de leche pancakes with affogato. A wine and cocktail pairing bumps the total to $120. @laferneteriamiami // 230 NW 24th St, Miami, FL 33127
Mareva1939
Inside the National Hotel on Miami Beach, Mareva1939 goes full Mediterranean for Mother’s Day. The $85 buffet runs from noon to 2:30 PM with a raw bar, Spanish tapas station, breakfast station, chef-carved New York striploin, seafood and vegetable paellas, and cochinillo. There will be live music all brunch, with churros, flan, and arroz con leche to finish. Bottomless beverages add $35 per person, but a Perrier-Jouët Champagne upgrade is also available.@mareva1939 // 1677 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139
Surfcomber Social Club
Sure, the Surfcomber is where you go to Winter Music Conference pool parties and have probably made some interesting life choices at, but today is all about Mom. And we don’t need to revisit those stories. The hotel’s on-site restaurant is hosting a great Mother’s Day spread from 9 AM to 2:30 PM at $75 per adult ($35 for kids under 12). The meal features an omelet station, seafood raw bar, crepe station, live music, and a DJ. From 10:30 AM to 1 PM, there will even be a complimentary flower bar where guests build a custom bouquet to take home. Bottomless cocktails add $30 per person for two hours. @socialclubsobe // 1717 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139
