Some might say if you’re going to Happy Hour in the Grove, you’ve gotta go by the water. But if you like crazy things like air conditioning and patrons over 22, head a little down Main Highway to Amal. The food is a big step up from a brick of French fries, where you’ll enjoy Lebanese mezzes like garlic lemon chicken wings, falafels, Fattoush salad, and a chicken shawarma wrap for $7. —MM

When I think of Thomas Keller, I don’t think of Happy Hour. And that is what is most chic about Bouchon Bistro. Years back, I would sit at the bar for their $2 oyster special. And get their expensive lightly dirty martini. And I would do it all over again just for the oysters. But - forget me, lets focus on what they offer YOU! Their cocktails, from a French 75 to a Kir Royale are an unheard of $12 each. Meat eaters can also score their INSANE burger with a bunch of ‘secret’ sauce ingredients whipped up for $20! —EMN

Cantina La Veinte
Is it a rare occasion when I’ll recommend a place that served me my first $40 burrito. But the nice thing about astronomical prices it they make Happy Hour that much sweeter. Such is the case at Cantina La Veinte, where you can head downstairs to the waterside bar and enjoy $10.50 margaritas the size of your head, as well as $10 orders of ribeye tacos. Two of their margs is more than enough for the night, and they taste especially sweet as you walk out past the tables paying full price. —MM

Fortunately, that fortuitous number happens to be 8, which means you can stroll into this top-tier Korean steakhouse and get cocktails, wine, beer, Korean bacon, rice cake gnocchi, chicken and other bites for a scant $8.88. —MM

Felice means “happy” in Italian, which makes its Aperitivo Hour a no-brainer. Currently running ‘Spritz O’Clock’ through Labor Day, they believe in an ‘Italian Summer’ - hence creating a program that starts at 2pm every Friday! Now that’s AMORE! However, once the summer special has sailed, regulars love hanging at their bar (it’s uber chic) from the early afternoon into the evening. What you will find is a selection of classic cocktails priced at $10 like their famous Negroni, an Amalfi Spritz, a Espresso Martini, and the renowned Felice Martini. Plus a selection of Italian wines by the glass, and zero-proof offerings - all for a preferred price. I mean, where else can you get fried chicken and caviar and dill ranch for $18, a fresh tiradito for $14, or caesar salad skewers for $14? With the view of your dreams in the background, you can sip on $11 cocktails (naturally, 2 of the 3 are prepared with E11EVEN Vodka). — EMN

Everyone assumes Miami is full of laid-back waterfront spots where you can drink something cold and watch the boats go by, but we have surprisingly few of them, which is what makes Gramps Getaway so special. It comes from the team behind Gramps, the Wynwood dive that closed in January after 13 years, and personally I don’t think the food here gets enough credit: happy hour features $12 plates like crispy grouper bites, chicken tinga empanadas, and esquites, plus $10 cocktails and $2 off drafts and well spirits. —OF

Honestly - LPM constantly makes our lists. And it’s not because we’re low on content. but rather because its DAMN GOOD! Foodies from near and far head on over and its for a good reason. Sadly, their beloved Tomatini is not on the HH menu. However, you can transport your tongue to the French Riviera for $12. Yep, every cocktail and every snack is just that! Strawberry lovers - La Sucette is for you, prepared with Ketel One, strawberry yoghurt and a rose wine lollipop. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you will thank us later. Their Le Rendez-Vous may sound strange, but it was je t’aime divine. Kicking Aperol to the curb, Saint Germain is the hot-liquor of the moment, and LPM’s creation adds Parsley Sorbet and Prosecco for just $12! Also for that LOW price for HIGH quality, try the tuna tartare, beef skewers or burrata and tomato toast. —EMN

Mac’s Club Deuce
Mac’s Club Deuce has been pouring drinks on Miami Beach for nearly a hundred years, which makes it the city’s oldest bar and home to its most famous happy hour — or infamous, depending on how you look at it. The legendary dive bar does two-for-one drinks starting at 8 am, so if you’re looking to toast while the rest of the world is eating cereal, this is your spot. Anthony Bourdain famously swore by the place for its grit and the cast of characters at the bar at any given hour. It isn’t fancy, and it isn’t trying to be, but that is exactly the charm. -OF

Everyone loves Michael’s Genuine. Even me. And that means it must be special. Michael’s has ALWAYS had the most ‘yes’ worthy HH’s in Miami. It’s centrally located, and there is always a scene. It’s a win-win. Whether I’m at the bar or at their high tops, every time I go I end up with an En Fuego (their spicy tequila with watermelon) or a simple Aperol Spritz. But be careful because once I had three and ended up buying a Hastens Bed and clearing out my savings. To avoid such an act, pair their libations with their thick cut potato chips paired with an onion dip, the kimchi or even falafel for $6! —EMN

Um, obsessions are real. And funnily enough, I discovered Right Hand through my beloved colleague Matt. Our tastes generally differ bur here - he stole my heart with some brownie points. Right Hand makes the most craft cockys you ever sipped on, and this hole-in-the-wall explodes with charm. As does the decor, which takes me back to “Saved by the Bell,” or maybe back when The Standard was cool. Anyways - what to order. Well, with the farm-to-table $8 cocktails like a Black Manhattan, $8 sommelier-style wines, and $6 beer, you can’t go wrong with whatever Right Hand whips up! —EMN

Rosa Sky is the self-proclaimed ‘Best Happy Hour in Brickell,’ and one thing that is for sure is that the location is! Perpendicular to Brickell City Centre, Rosa Sky is an upscale yet semi-private venue set 22 floors above the Magic City, where you wont run into everyone and their mother. And we love that. The zero-proof cocktails are priced at $10, so for those not in the mood for a buzz try the impressive Rooftop Retreat, made with Ritual Tequila Alternative, Giffard Pineapple, Basil, Coconut Water and Citrus. We also recommend the oh-so-creative ‘Shiso Fine,’ made with Bulleit Bourbon, Select Aperitivo, Pedro Ximénez Sherry, Blood Orange and Lemon. Lastly, Martini lovers take note. They have Tiny Tinis, like The Dirty which contains Elleven Vodka or Tanqueray Gin and Olive Brine, among others. —EMN

I’ve been going to The River Oyster Bar‘s happy hour for almost 20 years now, and even after a change of address, it’s as popular as ever: oysters are $2 apiece, with $5 La Rubia drafts and $8 wines, well cocktails, and martinis to wash them down. The crowd is pure Brickell, a full see-and-be-seen scene on Friday afternoons, and if you’re an oyster lover, you’re welcome to go ham. —OF

Happy hour at Sunny’s is such a vibe, and there are two ways to do it: the Bar Room, if you want AC and the classic Sunny’s experience, or the Terrace outside, which runs its own menu and is walk-in only. The Little River steakhouse comes from the team behind Jaguar Sun, and the happy hour is a friendly way into a tough reservation, with $12 cocktails, $10 wines by the glass, and oysters starting at $1.75. If you’re feeling festive, $40 gets you a half bottle of Delamotte and an order of french fries. —OF

Most baseball stadium bars jack up prices before games. Not the case at the Marlins’ only pre-game bar, where they schedule happy hour around when the games start. So rather than dropping $12 on a hot dog inside the ballpark, stop by Thank You Miami for $2 tacos and daily drink specials, which usually include $5 beers – aka about a third of what they cost inside. —MM

One of the few spots that still does it is Tipsy Flamingo, whose whimsical, tropical cocktails clock in a $8 during happy hour, with beer and wine an eye-popping $4. Single well drinks? Those are only five bucks, and a classic cocktail is only $7. —MM

You can’t even find a $7 slice of pizza anymore, much less a whole pie. That is unless you hit Tutto Pizza on Coral Way, where during Happy Hour you can get an entire margherita pie for a scant seven bucks. All their pizzas are half off, and every day you’ll find a different beer that’s also half the price. Do the math, and two people can be out the door for under $20. —MM

If you’re a sushi fan, this is the happy hour to go to. Uchi came to Wynwood by way of Tyson Cole’s James Beard-winning Austin original, and the deal has been a hit basically since it opened here, with nigiri starting at $6, hand rolls from $9, $3.50 oysters, and cocktails in the $10 range. It’s a serious discount on one of the better sushi menus in town, and the room fills accordingly, so get there at 5. —OF
